ABOUT WHO WE ARE & PURPOSE

Lesia’s Land of Love Receiving Home, LLC (LLLRH), located in Racine, Wisconsin, serves the needs of southeastern Wisconsin youth and children by providing short-term placement for those awaiting a foster home. LLLRH provides 24-hour care, treatment and supportive services in a comfortable,
residential setting. LLLRH will partner with Racine & Kenosha County Human Services in response to the significant shortage of foster homes and the increased number of children needing placements. LLLRH will meet the needs of children and youth awaiting foster care and this will allow Racine & Kenosha County additional time to make decisions regarding long-term placements. LLLRH will impact the foster care system and those served by it by committing to youth and children and fostering a sense of safety and well-being in a nurturing family environment.

OUR HISTORY OVER THE YEARS

Lesia’s Land of Love Receiving Home is a minority owned business that is operated by Lesia Hill-Driver, a licensed foster parent with 30 years of experience in human services. Lesia is committed to providing advocacy and support in a manner that fosters well-being and human dignity for a population that is often
under-served. She takes pride in being a foster parent and in her model of service delivery.
OUR MISSION
​
Lesia’s Land of Love offers 24-hour care, with supportive services to children and youth who have been removed from their family homes due to neglect and/or abuse. Services are provided in a residential home on a short-term basis or until an ideal longer-term placement is available. All children and youth are connected to community resources that are geared towards helping them deal with social/emotional issues and trauma that results from them being removed from their families.
Additionally, residents participate in activities and educational sessions related to self-care, household management, careers, and recreation. The activities are either hosted at community agencies or within the home. In addition to serving residents, Lesia’s Land of Love Receiving Home will work with Racine & Kenosha County by assisting with coordinated supervised visits as defined by the family courts.
OUR FACILITY
​The home is located at 102 10 th St. in Racine. It is a spacious, 2,615 square foot, two story home that is five minutes away from the nearest hospital and in a family friendly neighborhood. The home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms and is tailored with amenities to support a family environment for children
of all ages.
