SERVICES
Services are provided around the clock on a short-term basis in a safe, residential setting with amenities such as shared rooms, home-cooked meals, medication monitoring, laundry service, housekeeping, transportation, and daily activities and outings. The services of Lesia’s Land of Love Receiving Home
include:
TREATMENT SERVICES
Treatment Services – based on the existing care and treatment plans of the residents, the staff administers medication, arranges counseling and establishes daily routines.
PERSONAL CARE
Daily care of the residents is done jointly by the residents and the staff. When possible, residents are taught to maintain their hygiene and care for themselves. Staff members assist with bathing, toileting and ensuring that proper hygiene is maintained by the residents – based on age.
HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT
Staff members manage the household which includes preparing meals, doing laundry, shopping and performing house-keeping duties. As appropriate, residents
are included in household management activities to re-train them and prepare them for their transition home or aging out of foster care.
COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
Through partnership with community agencies, residents connect to local resources and participate and an array of activities that include educational support,
vocational rehabilitation, recreational programs and job training. Activities are coordinated by staff and hosted both on-site and at the agencies.
EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS
Residents participate in educational sessions and individual/group tutoring will be led by the staff and/or representatives from agencies in the community. Session topics are often related to personal care, household management, careers and rehabilitation. Session topics include grooming, toileting, managing personal finances, using the telephone, improving mobility, and manipulating objects.
RESPITE CARE
Short-term care, community resource referrals and support are provided to temporarily relieve caregivers. *Now providing services for both agencies & private pay for Neurodivergent children.
